I was lucky to work on the same campus where Jack Johnson stopped in for his summer tour "From here to now to you" I was given access to "the pit" to photograph up close and personal during the show. What an inspiration to experience, up close, all that Jack represents! I couldn't figure out if I wanted to sing his songs with him next to the stage, and at the top of my lungs, or try to capture every image I could through the lens!! Having my husband and son right by my side made it pure perfection. I was humbled by it all--Jack is a phenomenal artist and even more amazing father with a deep love for our earth and environment. I plan to relive the magic through my photos, regularly... hope you can feel how inspired I was too! ALOHA AINA!

Well at 10 months young, he's not quite walking yet ;).  He is full of personality and such a joy to be around! Cruz is my best friend's lil' man. Isn't he precious? Look at those curls!

We were overjoyed to learn that he was on the way a few years ago and it has been such fun getting to know him and watch him grow into a fun and vibrant little kiddo. He is 3 years younger than my son, but I know as they grow, they will be little buddies, playing and sharing in adventures. My son can't wait to show him the ropes and teach him how to build with legos!

His mama is camera shy, but Cruz sure wasn't! He was so curious and excited to try to grab my camera. He was lovin' it! He also really loves his grandma (abuela). She is blessed to spend so much time with him and she loves him more than the world.

Speaking of walking, my prediction is that lil Cruz will be walking before he turns one. I made a bet with his mama, so we will see!

You'd better believe it! What a fun and spunky bunch- so much energy from these two boys, Noah and Cyrus. Noah looks up to his big bro and, there is no doubt that Cyrus loves to play leader. From climbing any tree they could find, to blowing bubbles into the afternoon sky, they were two to keep up with!

And in between it all, the love that the boys have for their mother and father shined right through every smile. Its no wonder mom and dad rarely find a moment alone together. Glad we were able to make it happen,  though. Distractions for the boys with a lollipop and a couple of iPads certainly did the trick! ;)

Here's their story:

Kevin contacted me because he was planning to propose to his girlfriend on their 7 year anniversary and wanted it all captured on camera. He planned a surprise trip to San Diego in April and next thing Britt knew was that she was on a flight to celebrate an anniversary weekend. Kevin had her get dressed up to go out to their favorite restaurant, and of course decided to stop over at their favorite beach, La Jolla Cove. 

Kevin and I had planned to "run into" each other at the beach. I had my "new" camera and asked them if I could take some shots of them since they were dressed so nice for their anniversary. Little did Britt know, Kevin had a ring in his pocket and pulled it out soon after I began shooting. 

When he proposed (down on one knee, of course!) Britt's emotions were full of love, surprise and admiration for Kevin. And, she said...YES! 

I had the best time capturing this epic moment and what a romantically perfect day for Kevin & Britt!
